Tesco encountered a severe rat infestation at one of its distribution centres, and despite continuous efforts to contain and correct the situation, the rat problem persisted.

maclean was called in. We surveyed the warehouse and its surrounding lush greeneries which was home to large population of rats. maclean recommended a blitz treatment to severely decrease the rat population quickly by laying many poison baits for the rats, sealed up all cracks and crevices, fenced up all drainage outlets, and built funnels to lead the rats to the baits. An integrated pest management (IPM) program followed after the blitz treatment to continue to eradicate remaining rats and also other pests.

After 2 months, the results were clear: the population of rats reduced tremendously, and the overall pests situation improved remarkably. To this date, maclean continues to service the Tesco warehouse on contract for more than 4 years.
