In October 2015, maclean started servicing Abbott Manufacturing Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Abbott Medical Optics Division of Abbott Laboratories, specialized in producing Acrylic Intraocular lenses for patients with cataract.

We started with a team of 12 crew in 2015 to service the common areas and offices, and subsequently increased to 19 crew in 2017 to meet the cleaning needs of cleanroom facilities and ad-hoc requests. The cleaning solution was customized to meet Abbott QA’s stringent and meticulous audits. Maclean’s service crew were trained by Abbott QA, and only crew who passed Abbott QA’s assessment were allowed entry to perform the cleaning duties in the cleanroom production areas.

We consistently achieved high scores of above 90 points in Abbott’s internal audits, and external US FDA audits. Abbott Manufacturing internal audits is the toughest audit to pass, requiring our crew not only be skillful in cleaning methodology, but also comply to EHS requirements.
